Just recieved my order of 70 leads from John, I must say they are the dogs dangley bits.
Why buy leads for £1 upwards when you can buy exceptional quality leads at a fraction of the price. With the extensive range of leads John does I asked for variety to be sent, Johns choice of leads that he sent me was spot on.
The finish of the leads in all coatings is superb, with the variation of coatings available I am sure you could find one to match the bottom of any lake that you might be fishing.
I will sure be recommending Carpio Leads to all of my friends down my local lakes.
It is also very nice to deal with small companys such as Johns as they have our interests as fisherman in mind and not large profits like a majority of the big name companys.

Well what can I say.Have just picked up my leads from john aka carpioleads and they are the poodles plums.I asked for a certain colour which he has matched perfectly.Have got a nice non shiney coating to them. Am well impressed and would definitely recommend to anybody.Brilliant product at a very good price.If you need leads carpioleads is your man.

Received my order,Friday,of assorted (and I mean assorted) leads from john at carpioleads. Really, really pleased. The finish is stunning on both textured and smooth and the 'weed' leads, I imagine, will just dissapear when in the water.

In all the years I have used quit a few leads, from all them main company“s, but (this is not because its John“s forum) that I would say that Carpio Leads are one of the best (best price, quality is perfect) I have used to this day!!! They just are very good leads, and everyone should use them.

My leads from John arrived today, they look great. I was sent some textured ones and some un-textured. The leads hold there texture very well and when you rub them accross your hand no little bits come offunlike other leads. The swivels are very well made and strong.
How many times have you heared people say 'there better than kordas' and you thourght to yourself, no they can't be for the price. Well they are, the quality is the same on every leads unlike other companies leads which are made by machines.
I can't wait to give them a try and I will stick a review up in the reviews section on my site.

Just a quick one from me........
I ordered some leads from John at carpioleads (50 in total) early in the new year and have taken delivery this week. Seeing as I believe John makes the leads to order, the delivery time on these was excellent. I know some of the outfits out there that offer leads at very competitive prices do struggle to supply (don't they Rusty!) - not a problem with John.
I ordered flat pear leads between 2.5 and 3.5oz generally, in a variety of colours. The leads themselves are well made with decent "wire" and a quality swivel attachment.
The range of colours is also good. I was particularly pleased with the ones with the camo finish - John's seemed to have got a knack with the finish on these - they come out really well.
The gravel ones are really nice - I reckon they're a real edge when fishing on clean gravel - especially if you go for the gripper type which will end up with the smaller particles of gravel sitting in the hole in the middle - very inconspicuous I'd have thought!
Only minor reservation is that the finish on some of the leads - particuarly the plain green ones - is quite glossy. The green ones are actually quite "bright" if you know what I mean. I would definitely recommend picking John's brains here for what it is you want - he's a very approachable fella and gives good, honest advice - and maybe consider his matt finish ones for the non-camo ones.
Overall, great service, quality product at an absolutely brilliant price.

Well recieved my first batch of leads today off Carpio,what can i say!!
They are without a doubt a quality lead,the coating is even and smooth,i had the textured as well. Everything about Johns leads are RIGHT! i am well pleased to say the least.. I dont really know how John produces them for the price he is charging us,leads like these in most tackle shops are in excess of £1 +
The quality is seen as soon as you open the bag,they are well made and the wire and swivels are top notch!
I only give positive feedback on quality gear,otherwise would not bother writing anything,these leads are Pukka... If you have not ordered any yet, i would suggest you do,great product at a great price!!

What can i say ? Everything iv read about John and Carpio leads is true
I E-mailed John on the 20th at about 10pm requesting 30 leads,a mix of /distance /square pear /dumpys from 2 to 3oz
After exchanging a few mails i settled on a black and brown speckled finish.
After only 5days im sat here with my leads(Delivered this afternoon) What an excellent service..!! The leads are of the highest quality. The wire is dead center and the swivel is quality.
The finish is excellent,anyone fishing in choddy/silty bottoms should check black/brown speckled ones out. Im well impressed.

I was the very fortunate winner of 50 of Carpio's leads.
I got to choose from his varied selection of styles and sizes, and was MORE than happy when the box landed with a thud on the door mat. The leads are textured, very well. And there are a good selection of colours to match any lake bottom.
As for build quality, the finish is far better than leads more than TWICE the cost. All the loops are of great quality, and the textured finish isnt gumming up the movement of the swivel (which is one of my pet hates!).
All in all, the leads are of great quality, and they are very affordable too. Get on 'em!!!

Leads have arrived mate good and intact. Very pleased with them. In case people are not aware, I asked John for "non-shiney" ones (ie, coated) and I have to say they are top notch mate. Loads of variations in colour and lots of nice texture to. Good quality swivels intact. All for the excellent price you charge us John.
Well done mate. I'll be ordering from you again, that's for sure. Would also be interested in bigger "grippers and flat pears" if you can get hold of a mould, say up to 5 oz (for rivers).
